.eu Code of Conduct

Accredited .eu registrars can subscribe to the .eu Code of Conduct if they want to distinguish themselves by offering a high quality of service. By subscribing they agree to the conditions in the Code’s charter. In return they are allowed to use the official Code of Conduct logo.

The Code of Conduct charter forms the backbone of the Code and describes the principles subscribing registrars must adhere to when registering domain names on behalf of their customers. It also details the level of service quality they are to provide, the data privacy policies they are to respect and the conditions surrounding the use of the Code of Conduct logo.

How it works

.eu registrars subscribing to the code are allowed to use the Code of Conduct logo. They are also listed on this website.

If you think a subscribing registrar is breaching the code, you can file a complaint. Your complaint will be reviewed and ruled upon by the Council of Conduct, the body by which the code is governed.

All decisions made by the Council are binding. Registrars found to be in breach of the Code may lose the use of the Code of Conduct logo.
