Pressevideo.eu chose to communicate its European focus by using the European Internet domain extension. Corino Fabiani explains the project.

Claudia Lotter talks about no-nonsense fashion with a practical .eu domain name, starting a European clothing business and other challenges.

In 2010, these guys made the largest sand sculpture in the world, and they did that in China. Ice and Sand Events may be located in the Dutch city of The Hague, but they bring their business to the world with their .eu domain name.

Brainswork's Selma Prodanovic has a passion for connecting businesses across Europe. We met up with her in Vienna to talk about European entrepreneurship, innovation and design and how Brainswork brings it all together with .eu.

.eu is how Lena chose to communicate her move from Russia to Europe.

When your company acts as a single-point-of entry for the entire European Market, it pays to go for online branding which emphasises this position.

How do you communicate location, function and identity in one fell swoop? Here is how Juha Multisilta from Lindberg-Yhtiöt in Finland answered that question.

"Having a .eu name gives us more of a presence," notes Claudia Bush, who heads up event marketing agency Innovision. Although the company is very proud to be based in London, "when working in Shanghai, Ghana and Nigeria, it is good to be a European company as opposed to just a London company.

Ice Hockey team Dinamo Riga extends their brand well beyond the ice rink. In the words of Gundars Grāpis, Marketing Manager at the club, "We can Dinamo everything!" And they do: from Dinamo bread and sausage to chips and beer. We're told the club plays a wicked good game of ice hockey too.

Online, the club chooses to show its Europeanness through the .eu domain.

Lonneke Bär started an online boutique selling designer childrens' clothing. Zazou.eu became her European shop floor, while she still works from the comfort of her own home.

In Košice, Slovakia we meet up with European entrepreneur Tibor Bial.

His company Kenlube.eu is active in the field of machinery lubrication, and was one of the SME's invited to the 2010 .eu dinner at the European Parliament hosted by Malcolm Harbour, MEP. That evening, one of the main talking points for keynote speaker Commissioner Neelie Croes, was Trust on the web.

As a business looking to expand into European markets, communicating trust online is one of the main challenges Tibor faces. In his own words, some of the values most important for Kenlube are "... trust, beer and rock 'n roll."
