How to get started

Any person, company or organisation based in the European Union can register a .eu domain name. Two steps is all it takes:

1. Check if your name is available

Use the green search box above to find an available .eu name.

2. Register

Register the name for up to ten (10) years with a .eu accredited registrar. Need help in selecting a registrar? Search the list of accredited .eu registrars by location, language or name.

First-come, first-served

.eu domain names are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that the name you want might not be available because:

  • It has already been registered by someone else.
  • It has been blocked.

Rights and obligations

Once you have registered your .eu, you become a .eu domain name holder (also called registrant). As a registrant you can transfer or delete your name at any time.

Please read the Terms and Conditions and Registration Policy for the rules governing .eu domain names.
