Many two-letter country codes, such as BE for Belgium or DE for Germany, have been blocked as well.

A number of .eu domain names have been reserved for use by: the Member States, candidate countries, members of the European Economic Area, the European Union institutions.
You can see a list of these names in the annexes of regulations 1654/2005 and 560/2009. Certain reserved domain names listed in regulation 560/2009 have been changed or deleted. See those names here.
