Code of Conduct for .eu registrars during 2007

As from the second quarter of 2007 .eu registrars providing a best in class service will be entitled to a quality label (logo) and listed on EURid’s website, provided they subscribe to the .eu Code of Conduct that is currently being drafted.

Registrants can rest assured that choosing a registrar who is committed to the .eu Code of Conduct will ensure an excellent service level.

A Board of Conduct comprised mainly of representatives from the registrar community will be elected, and will have the task of ensuring that the Code of Conduct is adhered to by its subscribers. The board will be responsible for adding approved registrars to the list of those subscribing to the code and for handling possible complaints regarding subscribed registrars.

Once complete, and after being reviewed by the Registrar Community, the .eu Code of Conduct will be published on the EURid website alongside a list of the .eu accredited registrars who have chosen to subscribe to it.

The status of the implementation of the Code and the Board will be communicated regularly as the work progresses.
