Brussels, 27 September 2011 – The .eu top-level domain registry, EURid, is attending the Salon des micro-entreprises business start-up trade fair in Paris, France from 11-13 October 2011 to continue to raise the visibility of .eu among French small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In France, .eu domain name registrations grew by 4% in the year to Q2 2011 and there are currently more than 292 000 .eu domain names registered to French businesses, organisations and individuals.
The .eu extension is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border operations, or aspirations, by enabling companies to express the fact that they are open for business in other European Union markets.
EURid is exhibiting at stand B7 where staff will be available to answer questions about getting started with .eu.
Joke Braeken and Caroline Goffin, two of EURid’s Liaison Managers, will be attending the fair and will be available for interviews. For more information, please contact press@eurid.eu.
